Are constructs common in your world?
While the Caeruleans were immensely powerful, they were few in number. They decided to created the Val, a sentient race of constructs, to be their assistants. While the appearance of the Val differed slightly depending on the task required of them, they usually resembled a humanoid creature. Val don’t die of old age, yet every 100 years they go through a process called Cleansing where their memory automatically clears everything they know to make room for new memories. There are rumors that some Val have tried to extent their memories, with insanity usually being the end result.
